HARD TO LOVE - LEE BRICE

"Hard to Love" by Lee Brice is about a man who is flawed but has a woman who loves and accepts him anyway.

"I am insensitive. I have a tendency to pay more attention to the things that I need.
Sometimes I drink to much, sometimes I test your trust,
sometimes I dunno why you're staying with me"

I like this song because it isnt about a bad relationship, the fairy tale relationship or how everything is perfect. This song is about how people, real people, who are flawed and make mistakes but are still loved by their significant other.

This is the reality of real relationships with parents, siblings, friends, boyfriends or girlfriends. People in the world aren't perfect, and that's realistic and okay.

I feel in our world today we are so blinded by the "perfect" relationship and dramatic scenes where the other person chases you down the street in a rain storm that when we realise that real life isn't like this we freak out.

It is okay to be flawed. That is apart of life. Handling our flaws and the flaws of others is what truly defines the character of that person, not the fact that they forgot to go shopping with you.
