OVER YOU - MIRANDA LAMBERT

" Over You" by Miranda Lambert was written in honour  of her brother in law (Blake Shelton's brother) who passed away.

The song is about how even though the seasons change and time keeps going on you will never get over the death of that person. If you have ever had someone you love pass away you will know exactly what she is talking about.

There will always be that song on the radio that the two of you jammed out to, or that ugly sweater that you cannot believe they ever wore in public.

While the person physically is no longer here they remain in our lives through our memories, happy and sad, helping us grow in a way that no one should have to experience, yet is eventually unavoidable.

I believe that through music you can begin to heal. Not only from something as traumatic as losing someone near and dear to you, but from something as small as a paper cut.

Music helps us channel our fears, passions, sadness and humor from the unexplainable into something more attainable and manageable.

Keep the music alive.

  1. Miranda Lambert is one of my favourite artists. I'm definitely going to search this song when I get home, I haven't heard it!
